NEWS: Criminals Kills Lagos Taxify Driver

Robbery suspects arrested by the operatives of the Lagos police RRS, for the killing of a Taxify driver and snatching his car.

The suspects Simon Tyozemda from Benue state and Lucky Friday from Delta State were Arrested on Wednesday 14th March 2018 with two long knives inside a Uber operated cab, which they have planned to kill and steal.

The gang leader, Simon had through his girlfriend’s Uber App ordered a Taxi at past 11:00pm last week. The suspects plan was to lure the driver to a desolate Area, kill him and steal the car.

Suspects were taking the driver to a lonely place on Epe Expressway-Lekki Lagos, when their vehicle was stopped by RRS officers for a stop and search. The officers noticed one of the suspects hiding a knife.

Investigations reveals that the duo ex-convicts who were released between December 2017 and January 2018 from Kirikiri, had sometime in February 2018 snatched a Taxify car along Badore Road, Ajahat about 2:00am, after killing its driver, Godfrey Ovie.

The suspects sold the car to one Mohammed Usman for 350,000. Usman had only paid 100,000 and was to move the vehicle to jigawa when RRS Decoy Team arrested him.
